Florida gives ecommerce brands unusual flexibility because it sits near major ports, international freight lanes, and dense population centers. That makes it attractive for importers, FBA sellers, WFS sellers, and brands that need flexible storage plus prep support.
When comparing 3PL options, break the evaluation into four parts: receiving discipline, prep accuracy, outbound shipping, and communication. Plenty of warehouses can store cartons. Far fewer can process exceptions cleanly and keep the client informed.
For sellers using marketplaces, the prep side deserves extra attention. Barcode accuracy, packaging rules, poly bagging, bundling, carton labeling, and appointment timing can all affect whether inventory is accepted cleanly once it leaves the warehouse.
A good Florida 3PL should also be honest about what is custom work. Port pickup, relabeling, pallet changes, and long-stay inventory are usually separate operating problems, and the pricing should reflect that instead of hiding it inside vague quotes.
