Liquids and gels require leak-proof packaging — sealed in a bag or overwrapped so that any leakage is contained within the package. Amazon will reject beauty products that are not properly sealed against leakage.
Expiration dates must be clearly visible and must show at least 90 days of remaining shelf life at time of Amazon FC receipt. Products with expiration dates under 90 days are subject to removal.
Glass bottles and jars require padding — bubble wrap, foam, or air pillows — sufficient to survive a drop test. A fragile label on the outer carton is required for glass items.
Hazmat classification applies to beauty products containing aerosols, flammable ingredients (most spray products), and certain chemical compounds. Hazmat products have FBA quantity limits and additional documentation requirements.
