Amazon requires that all fragile items be wrapped in bubble wrap or foam so that a drop test from any face results in no damage. For electronics, anti-static bubble wrap is preferred for components that are sensitive to static discharge.
The item must be able to pass a 3-foot drop test when packaged. If it cannot, the packaging is insufficient — regardless of how it looks. A good prep center tests a sample unit before prepping the full batch.
For small electronics with exposed ports or screens, individual poly bags over the bubble wrap add an extra layer of protection and keep the FNSKU label clean and scannable.
Build prep cost for electronics into your landed cost model. The extra materials and time add cost per unit, but the alternative — damage chargebacks and removal orders — costs far more.
