Amazon FBA Prep for Toys and Games

Toys and games have category-specific FBA requirements. Here is what prep centers need to know.

Toys with small parts require choking hazard warnings on all units — a regulatory requirement, not just an Amazon requirement. Prep centers handling toys should have a process for verifying required safety warnings are present before FNSKU application.

Games with multiple components — boards, cards, pieces, dice — must be packaged so all components stay together during fulfillment. Loose components in a game box that shift and spill create a returns problem. Secure inner packaging or banding is required.

Batteries in toys create a hazmat consideration. Any toy shipped with lithium batteries in the package requires hazmat documentation and is subject to FBA quantity limits per shipment.

Q4 is peak season for toys and games — Amazon FBA receiving deadlines for peak are typically in October. Send toy inventory to prep early and confirm FBA receiving windows before the holiday deadline cutoff.
